Shoreline Squares is a LGBTQ square dance club located in Long Beach, California. All are welcome. Our club is a proud member of the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs and the Associated Square Dancers. Square dancing is the most traditional American folk dance. Square dancing has been a social activity in the LGBTQ Long Beach community for a long time. We have brought a new level of excitement and energy to the dance floor. Square dancing is a great way to get away from the pressures of the day, get a little exercise, and just relax and unwind. We dance to a wide variety of music, from country to soul to disco to show tunes to traditional folk. | Please support Jim Smith’s SSD class in partnership with the City of Bellflower. The class will be dark Thursday, July 24 but back July 31st through Thursday, September 11. Jim will be starting a new SSD class Thursday, September 25. Please visit the Beginners’ class page for more information. _________________ Our next dance is Saturday, August 2, 2025 7-10PM Darren Gallina calling St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church They have a parking lot and plenty of street parking. We dance at the smaller church on the block. See the news page for pictures of our new location. |
